Clutch switches

Looking at my spare clutch pedal there are 2 clutch switches on it, one is for the cruise control (which one?) what is the other one for?

    Option on some ( US mainly) starter inhibitor, need to dip the clutch before the starter will engage, only seen it actually working on one zed in the UK though.
