I have just sent off for my 2nd datascan serial number for my in car laptop but have just had windows die (after a few new software loads :mac1: ) . Im concerned that after i restore an image to the laptop then reinstall datascan that my serial number wont work.

 

Will i be ok? the hardware will be the same and clearly my name and email address will be the same so will it still generate the same activation code string?

 

If not what can i do? Pleading here as i dont want to buy another copy f the software due to an XP system failure!

If it helps, datascan havent replyd with my serial number activation yet so could i just email them and explain the situation, get them to cancle this request and wait until i resotred my computer?

I can update and say that if this happens to you datascan will gereate a different activation code! Im trying to work through it now, hopeing legrath will be able to help as the only email i have for the datascan guys is an automated one :mac1:
