What can cause a wet spark plug

Just a quick question as i have just read another thread ref head removal. I have a cylinder which is over fueling like mad. Took plug out and was soaked in fuel. How often do the valves burn out or is there anything else to look at??

    DO a compression test first then if thats ok! Check you are getting a spark to the Cylinder as well! (Could be) a Leaky injector thats dripping fuel in the cylinder when the engine is not running or no spark to the cylinder.
