Any ideas chaps?

 

Got in the Z this morning, started her up, and tried to put it in reverse(manual box). No joy, can't move the gearstick any further back than neutral. 1st 3rd and 5th work fine, but it feels like theres something blocking 2nd 4th and reverse. About a month ago, I had a new clutch fitted. Just wondering if maybe something (the gate or whatever) has come loose and is interfering with the shift..

 

Anybody had anything similar? got any ideas?

sometimes my reverse doesnt go in properly - the lever goes half way back but doesnt engage. if i bring the clutch pedal up slightly then the gear clicks into place properly. 2 and 4 are ok tho.

Hmm. Has more of a definate feel to it than that. as in it wont even try to select those gears.

check the linkage and transmission mount

Also make sure the shifter linkage bolt is not overtightened
