We are building a Monster 300ZX Fully Drag Car with 350hp of NOS

We got the turbos today, our JUN engine is ready and now we are preparing the chassis.

The car will be tuned by Mike Kojama (JUN AUTO) coming from Japan

And let me tell you that if it works, we are aiming for 6 second passes. NO JOKE

Jason Farrow: You remember that chassis when you came to see us right!! Thats the one :)

Guy in the picture is my ugly brother :slap:

We are estimating with the 350hp NOS minimum 1400 wheel horse power.

Basically the Greddy turbos are indeed old technology but are proven to be reliable and are producing very good results. Ex. When you use it on a Supra it gives you more than 700whp on racing gas.

what have you done to the engine to beable to run 350 shot of NOS...as i run Nos on my car ....????????

..

He's not just ugly, he's blurred - poor bugger :(

Tuned it properly.

But for street use is not recommended to use so much NOS. Propably 60hp -80hp (turbo Z) and 80hp-120hp(non-turbo Z) is ideal for street daily use.

i'm running 150 shot at the mo..on the street....with no prob's ...but thinking of mig wireing the head's.....so i can run 400 shot .....i run a progresive pedal so that it's not all in one go ,,,400 shot over 4/5 second's

....

Thats going to be a serious car Nitro. Good on you! I can't wait to see it in anger. 6 secs, thats a pretty serious estimation!

well i rememebr when Nitro first posted ...ages ago !! .and if i remember correctly he was scoffed at !!!...........hmmm is it going to be humble pie time guys ???

What manifolds are you using for the T78s? i presume the escort ones which move the turbos to the front?

Be an interesting project :)

The manifolds will be designed like the Escord ones. Move the turbos to the front. Also intake manifold will be ready in 3 weeks and it will be dual one just like the Escord.

Some more spec:

65mm throttle bodies

1600cc injectors

TH400 3 Speed Automatic Gearbox with 6000 Stall converter with Shifter

Methanol Water Injection

JUN Rods, Pistons (already in)

JUN Stage III cam gears, sprockets, springs, titanium retainers (aldready in)

and lots of other bits .....

Dont envy you trying to make the power steering and alternator fit with them monsters in ;)

Would be very very interested in the intake manifolds and what sort of price you could do them for :)

We cut the front clip of the car and we are using pipe bars. Plenty of space that way. ;)

Intake manifolds will cost us 600 CY pounds. (Already agreed) and i know the guy is doing A++ job

Correction 600 CY pounds each side so 1200 for both.

Ahhh i suppose if its not a road just a pure drag car then it doesnt matter.

Would be interested to see what the inlet manifold looks like when its done and i would guess theres at least 2 or 3 people on here which would be interested ;) would they give a discount if there making 3 or 4 sets rather than a one off??
