thought this was another pi55 take.

it just goes to show how fooking thick some people are. do they think he would have wanted them to do this, i think not.

fooking ass holes.

Yea, I just read that.

The stingray was only scared and protected its self as would any human when they think they are in trouble.

ANother example of how animals are far more civilised than us humans. Given the choice, I prefer animals...

Just makes you wonder what some people are on

I find it amazing just how stupid some parts of the human race are. Animals kill for food or defence, we kill for fun or malice...I find it hard to justify the belief in the human race some times...

Just read that myself before coming on here. It really is amazing how brainless some people can be.

Some animals do kill for sport / fun. We're no different from them really.

That said, this is silly. They should be prosecuted.

What animals kill for fun?

This may not be revenge attacks but people trying to profit from the sale of stingray barbs now that they are in the lime light.

I've seen domestic cats do it.

Some primates do (chimps for example).

Lots of others too - killer whales, lions and more.

It can be hard to prove it's 'fun' as that's somewhat anthropomorphic (labeling an animal behaviour with a human emotion) but it's often obviously non-food, non-territorial, non-defence related.

My mate works with primates and he told me about several incidences of big male chimps attacking humans. The first thing they did in every case was bite the man's testicles off. Animals can be just as nasty as people. When a lion takes over a pride he'll kill all the existing cubs to make the females receptive sooner.

Ah, that is not fun but instinct. We do it out of malice, animals do not have the thought processes to do things out of spite etc. Animals hunt for food, training (young ones or mothers teaching young how to hunt etc)...humans do it out of malice, greed or whatever...

Not always the case. But is usually the route cause. Killer Whales for example play with their catch and show off with it by throwing it around after it's been killed.

Hell. this has to be the word of the day (anthropomorphic).

True..but not for malice or for fun. It is an instinct. They usually then eat it. Animals kill for a reason, man kills out of malice, greed, jealousy, hate etc.
