just got a 300zx TT

hello all just got my 300zx TT manual K reg white and its the best car I have had so far as I have 3 renault 21 turbo,s and the 300zx is so much better no turbo lag and that V6 sound. How easy is it to tune up as I am sure in a mouth or so I well start to think about it.

    Well done and welcome.

    It depends on how much you want to tune it up. Really mad and you can get 1,000bhp. A Nissan ZX hold the world record for a front engine rear wheel drive land speed record,of over 250mph.

    Spend some money on a induction, exhaust, decat and a ECU chip to increase the boost to 14psi, I think you will be around the 400bhp. Look at some of the rides. MAC1, I know has a tuned car. Nice.

    no sorry all gone. If you look at renault21turbo.com site there is a for sale form on there its run by a good bunch of guys with meets and good advise on tuneing and buying. Good car,s gives a lot off people a surpise.

    Like Stu says, go for the logical upgrade route - my car is running HKS Intake with GReddy full outage.. I have HKS Valve Controller to go on next then get a mapped ECU of some description.. this little lot can put on an extra 100 horses and if you are judicious with suppliers (Johnny - not sure of the number) you could extract 100 more nags for not alot of dollar.

    You should of stayed with the Renualt 21 Turbo. I had one, and it never went wrong. 120 000 miles, and all original including the turbo. I found it was ballastic for 2.0 with little lag.

     

    A couple lads come down from Shropshire and bought off me. I took them for a blast in it which sold the car the really. :-)

     

    Anyway, if you have a good Z you should be OK. Generally they are either no problem at all, or loads of grief. Just keep your fingers crossed.
