Spokey-dokeys noise from new prop

Remeber Spokey-Dokeys...? Colloured plastic things you fitted to the spokes on your push-bike that would slide up and down and make a racket as you went along.... I think they came free with a breakfast cerial or something...

Well I had my reconditioned prop fitted yesterda. All the vibrations have gone  but now it sounds like i have spokey-dokeys on.

The noise is consistent with road speed and sometimes goes away when you dip the clutch.

Any ideas what it could be??

Get it back to the place that did the work, something is wrong. Either something catching on the prop or a faulty UJ I'd have thought.... :(

Thanks mate. Hoping it was not going to be that. :(

Prop was sourced from a guy on here. It's already cost me £200 in labour to fit.... sob...sniff...

well I hope it wasn't the guy who fitted my rad cos otherwise I think you gonna learn the hard way like i just did.

RDE motorsport in llandudno junction. Have to say they're pretty good, know their stuff with Evo's and Supras at least.

If you dip the clutch, the prop's still spinning as it's permanently connected to the back wheels... All that's happening is there's no power (torque) being transmitted through the prop when you seperate the engine from the back wheels bu dipping the clutch. So, following this (shaky) logic, the noise is coming from any of the joints in the prop. Looks like Andy's right.

Good luck
