Hi guys I.m in need of help here my exhaust is blowing like mad and my MOT is due. I think the problem is one of the cats as I kinda beached my car the other day on a friends drive...

 

I'm seriously upset about this as I've had no end of trouble and now I've gone and broke my car myself!

 

I have been considering two options. Either I go for a de-cat or I get another exhaust. I've been told getting the De-cat can uncover problems with turbo seals, causing the turbo seals to appear have just gone as the turbos begin to smoke, previously covered up by the cat.

 

In which case I am looking for a replacement exhaust as well so if anyone has one they wish to sell/donate then I'd really appreciate your help. The history of me and my car has been a real sob story and I could do with a break (well an exhaust actually!)

I personally wouldnt recommend decatting as its not worth the risk & if things do go wrong then your looking to spend atleast £1500/2000,plus it depends on the condition of your tubs mileage/has car had frequent oil changes, if i were you just get a catback system still a good improvment. im selling my TRUST stainless back boxs with 5" tips + zcentre ss mid section 2.25" bore for £400 ovno for the lot would cost alot more if new

...if it's a knackered cat, someone on here was selling a pair for £30 recently - total bargain!

It wasnt me, but I have a pair of front pipes complete with cats taken from a lowish mileage Jap import. In overall good condition.

I will match that £30 price.
