WOW!

After a few months of just plain bad luck......... my car is finally behaving itself! wah hey!!!

I think that the fact the previous owner only drove it once a week for 4 years meant that when i started to use it everyday- a few problems seemed to come out of the woodwork!

Dont get me wrong, the cars in really good nick but it has caused me some grief and cost me over 3 grand over 5 months. usual stuff really, you know, studs snapping off the hubs eek.gif rear main bearing seal going TWICE!!! servicing, tyres, cleaning, loads of other small bits and bobs.

For the first time since owning it im really really happy with the way its running- really smooth!

Before really modifying the car i wanted to be sensible and get the car in really good working order first. I think some people dont do this and just go for stuff like big wheels and power etc and ignore the fact that these cars need to be looked after.

After being at jeff's overnight (squish, squish,-i missed it!!) and all the nextday it came back running like a treat.

One of my butterflies was opening before the other one, and a wire had come off my TPS so it was revving like a really revvy thing. Also had a small fuel leek too!! YIKES!

After a deep clean, oil change and TB clean and a few other bits sorting, i can really feel the difference. Its really smooth now and runs really nicely. I think my detting problem was down to a shitty tank of fuel i must have picked up along the line!

SO, fingers crossed it'll be ok now!

Great stuff Lukeski !

When all the little niggles are sorted these cars are so cool - you can easy get disillusioned if its all hanging off, but get it tightened up and running good there is nothing like a 300zx to put a fat grin on your face....

Glad you and Jeff got the beast sorted...

Now then Luke, its Sunday tomorrow so get some driving tunes burned onto CDR, get up tomorrow and have a fry-up, clear your head and go for a farking good tear up in the Zed..

Have fun mate.. smile.gif
