i am still welsh reo

i am arranging a meet

i am also arranging our xmas meal which i have to do in advance, and i will post details this week

i also have a business and newborn to deal with so a little patience is appreciated.

however if another member feels better qualified to do the welsh reo job then by all means please apply to jason who will forward your request to the comittee to decide on.

i have no desire to leave this club or lose contact with the people i have met and are now friends. i may no longer own my zed however as a subscribed member i do not feel that i should be excluded in anyway.

i cannot arrange meets and hold them if support is not there as per last years fiasco with the xmas meal for one.

this year i am hoping to have a joint welsh and south west xmas meal, this in turn will make the event cheaper and will mean we get to have a full day at the location with secure private parking and the venue to ourselves.

Simon, i dont think your going to get much interest in a xmas event that means a lot of travelling and a forced overnight stay a couple of weeks before christmas fella....think about it.

the welsh area has had a lot of good meets last year mate, interest and support is there for the reo, at least from the members anyway, but dont piss them off with a bad attitude so soon mate.

if your arranging a meet, them maybe an idea to post it up so others can have an input?????

good luck fella

the venue is in newport, so its not that far for any member to travel too, the hotel has rooms if members want them at discounted prices, the meal will be an all day event if required, food and drink laid on and then the meal and evenings entertainment. after the farce of last years xmas meal i thought that something a little more special might attract members to this one, especially if its a joint one with the south west as this means the prices will be drastically reduced due to numbers, the owner of the venue is a personal friend and is willing to host at a loss i may add as a personal favour, everything will be 5star on the day.

i dont have a bad attitude reguarding this, however comments posted on the 3rd have led to this post today, so as to clarify the situation, and to confirm that i am trying to organise something, i cannot post about it until i recive permission for the meet, whether it goes ahead or not will be decided when i post details up, i cant post about something that may not happen yet.

i will post up about the xmas meal this week however speaking from experience i dont hold out much hope of it coming off.

i am willing to try my best for the club and the region yet as the events diarys show welsh meets are severly lacking, and always have been.

best of luck simon, thanks for your comments about welsh meets lacking, maybe you missed the first welsh shows and events we entered into????

good luck with the role mate. just dont clash with torque powers camping trip on the 15th of this month ;)

I dont agree last year Mumbles and Ross on wye were probably the best meets ive been too. And im not welsh LOL

ross on wye was organised by white zed and gruntpa nothing to do with the welsh reo, this was the same this year, kev is not an reo yet he arranged the ross meet again.

Perhaps kev should become REO then ?

I dont understand what this thread is about TBH !

me either pj....

but best of luck to PK, ill see you at the sw meets pj and TP.

wont be at any welsh ones, thanks for your comments simon, i hope you have better luck this time around.

i took the welsh reo position back on as a favour and request, however.

i feel that any event or meet i would try to arrange would be met with subterfuge and criticism, therefore i feel it is in my best interest and the clubs if i give notice of my intent to stand down.

i for one will not be drawn into a tit for tat arguement, i have far better and more constructive things to do with my time.
