just bought my first zed from a guy in scotland. over the moon, shes a uk twin turbo manual. when i took her for a test drive all was well and the car pulled really hard. on the long journey home wen i pulled up at traffic lights or roundabouts the car would splutter or misfire quite badly until the revs got up a bit. it seems to be worse if you accelerate from low speed in top gear. also there is a vibration through the car around 40mph but seems worse in 5th. this smooths out as the speed gets up and disapears at 60-70. the guy reckons he put a set of plugs in from the local auto discount, seems like plug beakdown at low revs?? wont know till i check them tommorrow. been drivin since 1.00 this afternoon and am off to bed. could he of put rong plugs in or does this sound like the coil pack leads or other. any help would be realy appreciated. i think the vibration is from the prop??? :D

Go to the Membership and Club Enquiries section and then select the sticky relevant to the way you want to pay. Post up in that section that you've paid, and by which method and keep an eye out :)

I guess your vibration is caused by the prop, if it were bad wheel balance it would probably occur at a higher speed and be unnaffected by gear.

As for the misfire, if they are bargain basement plugs then put them in the bin and get some proper NGK's in. I would have my concerns about this, if the previous owner was a cheapskate with the plugs then what else has he cut corners on??

If that doesn't fix it then get an expert in these cars to give it the once over. There is no point in blindly replacing parts, you could end up wasting a lot of money and getting nowhere.

A good price, but what condition is it in? I have seen these cheap zeds before and not liked what I have seen.

the zed is in really good nick apart drom paint crackin on both wing tops and bonnet. the leather is mint and body is very good. no rust. targas dont leak and the brakes and susp work well. wheel are a little grubby but lookin for some 18's.

You got a good car mate, I drove it and it felt very good. Once you get the paint and wheels sorted she will be nice.

cheers ronnie. cant tell u how happy i am with her. 18" alloys comin tomoz - 10" wide rear - 8" wide for front, deep dish five spoke. shoul look the biz
