Hi, how easy is it ( or not ) to replace the oem seats in my uk zed with a set of aftermarket seats. From what i can gather, no body makes frames for the zed, so modding the original ones are ok to do etc..

Thanks

The whole seat comes out, so I would of imagined youd have to modify some aftermarket brackets. You'r only left with 4 bolts.

Thought cobra would make sub frames for you if they didnt have any already made for the model of car. Might be worth asking them...

:hurl: Dont like seeing them chav bucket seats in a car where they dont match the rear, unless you got a 2 seater?:) but thats my opinion

Says a man with "LED" rear lights :nono:

You sure did!!

Anyway , scartlead might be buying some Recaro full competition type seats not the £99 chav specials you see riding round Romford, ESSEX

Bride still makes subframes for the Z32 though you'll need to know what seat your getting before you can figure out which one of the 4 or so frames they make will fit.

yeah , no chav specials for me, thats for sure....may look at bride and if they do the subframes, then thats a bonus!

I fitted cobra leather recaro type seats in mine and used ex elecric runneres all what was req is to weld a squre type subframe together then bolt ex subframe to it.

The seats still go back and forth electrically but obviousley not the backs.

PS THEY ARNT BUCKET TYPE SEATS

thanks for that...does anyone know who would import these bride seats and the subframes as well?

Same as yewcheck except the adaptors were just a couple of alloy plates with holes for original subframe and new seats.nissanpics019.jpg[/img]
