Mac300zx has had the invite through his work for us to attend the event with our own 300zx Club stand.

 

There will be a Euro Championship qualifying drag car (1/4 in 8.47s) & Jet engined car, stalls, dodgems, mini fairground for kids, robots, fire service, falconry, model planes, Spitfire flyover etc, etc.

 

We may also be performing s parade lap of the main arena.

 

We should aim to arrive from about 11am, to setup our Stand.

 

Sorry about the short notice, but it looks like an event worth attending.

Cool! Hopefully I'll get my car back this week too (but I'll be there anyway, of course).

I expect I will be there, probably without the pinkmobile as I dont think its quite ready to make its debut lol

Since Smiths is a semi-M.O.D. site, there will be tight(ish) security to get past when you arrive. I'll post up more details tomorrow, so please watch this space.

It'd be good if we could all arrive about 11am. I'll get there early and sort security out. If I'm not around when you show up, say that you are an Exhibitor, that you were told to ask for Vic Fisher (who will be organizing things) and you are a guest of Jim McPhail (me). Hopefully, though, I'll have sorted things out well enough before you arrive that you will go straight through.

What an excellent day. Shame only two Zeds were able to make it. The weather was terrible at first, but it soon cleared up.

 

EVERYTHING WAS FREE. As many burgers as you could eat, as much fizzy pop you could drink and you could eat candy floss untill you were sick. Great day for the kids as all the fair rides were also free.

 

The jet car was awesome and the other Zed that turned up was a superb example of a 300ZX, probably the nicest one I have seen. Will post some pics of the jet car soon.

Glad you all enjoyed it, despite the weather and lack of Zeds. That jet car was something else! Probably the noisiest thing I've ever heard. Funny that the smoke set off all of the fire alarms in the adjacent building. I thought the windows were going to buckle and smash at one point - and the way the ground shook was just plain wrong! LOL

 

The other V8 short block Chevy drag car wasn't too shabby either. The model jet planes were quite impressive (and noisy) despite it being too windy to fly them, and getting to hold a Harris hawk and Barn owl was cool too :)

 

I hope they do it again next year and that we'll be able to get more Zeds there. People were drooling over Allan's car - there was one young girl who I thought was going to explode she loved it so much ;)

NOT ON MY LEATHER LUV!!

The pouring rain in the morning meant i couldnt finish the EFI wiring loom till about 3pm. Thanks for the PTU Legrath, arrived this morning and fitted with new loom, car runs perfect!
