picking my first zed up this week, never owned one before, cant wait to drive her home. Reason for the thread is i would like some pointers on what to look for eg. common probs i should look for on the car. As this is my first zed i would like it to be as trouble free as possible ,so would like any info on experiences you have when buying these cars.

Do an ecu check, that's the easiest

take the car for a long drive...30 minutes or so, let it idle for 15 minutes after this to see if it starts smoking(pcv valves usually)
