going to look at a 3.0 Turbo Diesel as a daily runner this afternoon.

Wondering what the mpg on these are like? I know the petrol are pretty bad but this is the diesel version.

I don't think they're much better on fuel either!

Circa 20mpg i've been told.

The 3.0 is much better than the 2.4 model though.

I had a 3.0. They are excellent inside and can go anywhere but do NOT buy the 2.4. It is sooo underpowered. The 3.0 will not go above 90ish and you will get about 18-22 from an SSRX. Get the SSRG if you can with the spare wheel on the back door.

I loved mine but it had a blowout at 90 on the A12 and it wrote it off...

Comfortable and tough but very slow...

so the 3.0td gives what mpg ?

Cheers

Its a Hilux with a estate body. Tough as old boots, but not very interesting. However it will go on for ever so long as you top up the oil and water (usually about once a year)

The last of the old shape Nissan Patrols are cracking motors and go a bit better and Handle alot better. + the 2.8 tdi does about 32 mpg and they have leather, climate and every creature comfort.

Ine got a 2.4 surf. its been hammered to death. Towng ,off road in the sea over the alps its bomb proof. Never broke down in the 3.5 years 38,000 miles ive had it get about 24 to the gallon. 3L is a bit better. Look here http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk.

Yep, I loved the SSRX 3.0TD...was very nice inside and went well....
