Why is my avatar picture such poor quality? The original photo is good but I have to resize it down so much to be accepted by the avatar system that the resolution is absolute c**p. Other member's avatar photos seem to look pretty good...how do they do it?

lol, just resized it using Photoshop. Have no idea why your original one went wierd tho!

actually having sais that, it looks like it might have some sort of image effect applied to it......like a mosaic effect or something?

You don't need to know, as DirtySanchez has already re-sized it for you, just go and upload it as your Avater, using >> http://myspace-867.vo.llnwd.net/01069/76/81/1069931867_m.jpg

It will come down to the original file type, some will alter without problem others don't but can't remember which ones!

i use ACDSee v3.1...what ever that mean's ..........
