Hi all

Got my plenum off at the moment and noticed that the EGR tubes that attach underneath the plenum are blocked solid with exhaust coke.

Has anyone successfully removed the EGR valve assembly without affecting anything else like emmissions at MOT time and performance.

Featured Replies

I've removed all the emmision control crap and it made no difference to the MOT.

lots of people have removed egr successfully - you need a plumbing end cap and 2 2p pieces and some metalweld - job done!

will it affect performance if it is blocked because mine is too

not heard of it affecting performance, i think the biggest worry would be emmissions, and even this seems negligible, just one less thing to go wrong!

Right. Off it comes then!

Thanks.

i'VE JUST GOT TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO UNDO THAT BIG NUT.......

Try Doing It With The Engine In!

Cut the pipe and use a socket, i did mine with the engine in too, never again :headvswal
