Right, got the problem with my speedo and PAS cutting out intermitantly and have sussed it to be a speed sender or wiring problem through the forums. I got a quote for the speed sensor, £150 and three weeks delivery so i think i'll replace the wiring first. I have the wiring diagram on cd but can't work it out, (too many years working on German cars i reckon). Does anyone know the wire colours or terminal no's on the back off the speedo?

No worries mate, sounds like a corroded loom fault 'cos it's intermitant. Hope to replace the wires on saturday so i'll let you know.

Sorted it! i whipped out the speedo to check the kph to mph converter connections and found loads of bad connections. The schmuck who fitted it had used screw down terminal blocks to connect the wires and had screwed down on to the insulation instead of the wire. I wish these back yard mechanics would give it a rest and leave it to us pro's.
