Here is my problem, thrown open to all of you to resolve. As some of you may know I have worked a few winter seasons over the last few years.

Last winter season I worked in Les Gets and had a fantastic season, and met many wonderful people who are heading back this year. In particular I met a guy from a transfer company who tried to get me to work for him last season, unfortunatley I was commited to another company and decided not to work for him. He has offered me the chance to return to work for him this comming season in Les Gets.

When I finished my last season I said that I would only do another season if I didn't get accepted for the Police, which I didn't. I was fairly confident that I would and decided to get a new car (for which I had to take a 3k loan)

Since being rejected by the Police I have applied to the RAF as I thought I needed a "proper" job, and have an interview on the 7th Sept.

I would really like to keep the car as its something I have always wanted, and I would drive it to Les Gets should I decided to take the job I have been offered.

I will be getting paid a normal wage "1200 or so euro" instead of the silly little £80 a week, but will have to foot the bill for my own room and pass.

All in all its not much of a drop in cash from what I earn in the UK so I may be able to keep the car and go and work another season, but I am not 100%

Do I go ahead with the RAF and have a "proper" job?

Or

Go back to France?

HELP!

Tough call matey, i wouldn't like to say to be honest. The RAF gives you a good pension and living costs are minimal. My mate gets a whole 2 bed house for 50 quid a week there.

Depends what you enjoy the most

Its a carrier and a job for life learn a good trade too, sounds like much better prospects in the RAF (depending what the other job is) you gotta think of your older age and the pension it offers, one of the reasons i joined the railway and became a train driver good money a carrier and a job for life dead end jobs no good as you get older, i always wished i had joined the navy and seen a bit of the world all i do now is regret not ever joining up to late now so dont miss golden oppotunity you might regreat, you can always come out if you dont like it
