My new brakes fited teh car wonderfully. guess what. poxy rims wont fit.

Spacers wont work, and that defeats teh point. And I made a POINT OF ASKING THAT THEY WOULD FIT THE RIMS.

I cant afford new rims so their back in thier box.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUK

looked good on there though

disks are 355mm. was catching the rims on teh outer part of the calipers.

Every time I ask a trader, will this fit.

The answers always, YES no probs me oll mate will go right on there.

Im going to charge the *******s for teh time and money it costs me in future when it needs "tweaking"

Not once has anything just fitted. Not ****ing once and dont get me started on body kits that are too ****ing thin

decent spacers not an option then?

shame to send the kit back .. looks great!

if i fit spacers teh rubber will end up hitting the arches. Spacers just aint an option.

If I had known the ****ing things wernt going to fit, or tehre was a chance they wouldnt fit I would of opted for the smalled Kit.

have a word with Jay ,,he did my R33's for me ,,and he has worked with 6 pot's before ,,,,he know's a trick or too....

..

can you not get the arches "rolled" to give a bit more clearance?

nope ther are fiberglass. one of the reasons I cant use spacers is that the tyres hit the wings there so flimsey they will fall to bits

Am really not wanting to make matters worse fella BUT, tbh 355mm discs is real hard to fit in most 18" wheels at the best of times, 324mm discs fit in some 17's and most 18's, so with yours being 31mm bigger, it really was a squeeze in the 1st place. Only sure way of knowing for cases like this is to measure the INSIDE diameter of the rim and the supplier can tell you what distance is the minimum requirement from the manufacturer.

You can machine 5mm of the outer diameter of the disc for about 20 quid, then reduce the thickness of the mounting bracket of caliper to suit, it's not too hard. Same thing happened to me, only I knew the fitment was gonna be real tight to begin with, but doing the above worked a treat ;)

Given that i doubt you can now return them, slight alteration is the best option. Or as a last resort, sell em to Jason and buy the KAD 6 pot kit for the R32, same kinda money and delivery within a week for any colour options.

smithy

Thanks mate.

I may have to sell em, dont realy want to if I can help it.

might have to look and see what 18" fit with tehm, but im skint atm so its not an option.

depending how close to the arches you are talking about chris,if you havnt already you could opt for rose tension rods, and ajust the wheel in or out of arch, then get it specs checked at a 4wheel aligment, just an idea?expensive way of doing it but depends how much you want those brakes

Think the simplest option is to sell em

2nd to get some 19"

3rd to find some 18" that will fit.

as I dont have much (any) cash atm Ill have to wait a few days and decide.

Are 25mm bolt on spacers not a option then i use them with 9" wide wheels on the front with a 235 tyre loads of caliper clearance.

Chris Sell your Wheels and get a nice set of 19's

Have you seen the new Mania Vortex deep dish 19". £1,150 with Continental Tyres.

They look good and by good they'll do you good.
