Things arnt going good in the world of zeding!!!

On my second one now which was spose to be a real good one.

This squeel that the engine had that starts after about 3-5 seconds is still there.

Thought is was cam belt idler bearings, which were fooked on inspection, so changed all of those and its still squeeling.

Had taken alternator/water pump and p/s belts and it still fooking squeels.

So really im only left with the CAS or what else, oil pump??

Any other ideas as im well p1ssed off with zeds now!!!!!!!!

I dont know what it is but mine was doing that before it lost all its water. I still dont know for certain but it looks like the waterpump on mine. As you describle it only ever did it on start up, never after.

Hope that helps..........

if it squels then it will be belt related,if its for a few seconds then clears then i would double check drive belts at the front, what sizes are they?

should be..

uk alternator 1040

j-spec 1015

power steering 925

a/c 965

belt tension should be adequate if to tight or to loose it may squeal,do you have an aftermaket underdrive pulley?

if it was the waterpump it would be bearing related and would make some form of permanant grinding or wurring noise not intermitant

Sorry, maybe didnt make it clear.

There no belts on so water pump and p/s pump isnt spining. No a/c on the car so no belt there.

The only thing left spinning is the CAS and engine internals.

The whining is still there after its warm, just its a lot quieter and you stick your head under the bonnet to hear it.
