started my clear rear light conversion. ive just tried with clear and red at the moment and put the light in place. i know they are not sitting flush yet but its just to get an idea of how it looks. i think im going to go with them both clear. how did everyone else put these back together? using that horrible black stuff or remove black gunk and use black silicone

 

Best thing you can do to a Z is get rid of any traces of orange. Looks more crisp. You just need the clear wing indicators now.

ive just been thinking, if i get rid of the red i will have to change the rear spoiler as the red looks out of place. also are the 2 red lights in the bumper fog lights. i think it looks c**p with them in

i like the look of your rear si (of the car i mean lol) as you dont have a high level brake light or rear fogs in your bumper

I like to have the red/clear. Nice contrast.

 

You could always get a JDM rear bumper with no fogs.

can i not get clear covers for the fogs and just use the red lenses for the MOT? its the red i dont like. it looks like a very dark red

I went for the clear option and your car is the same colour as mine - gunmetal grey by the looks of things. I have posted a link to a pic of mine after the original lights were replaced with the clear lensed one's. I think they make a hell of a difference and really finish the rear end of and bring it bang up to date! Just need the clear side repeaters now.......

My zed is wine red, the original orange indicators suit it well i think :)

Should put in the 2 horizontal black lines like on the real 99 spec ones for a more authentic look.

Also did someone steal your exhausts? :confused: And don't bother messing with the plate it will look rubbish.

exhausts are off because because engine is on way out. will just have to wait till the f plated registrations are released for F10LEY
