I have arranged to buy a really lovely zed which is 99% finished from a local guy. Not having all the cash, I need to sell my zed to help pay for it and it is breaking my heart to think the old girl is going...

 

Things I have ordered before I decided to sell have started to be delivered like new 3G brake disks which turned up today (Thanks Maxsunny). I went to fit them today and couldn't look at her for more than a few minutes without feeling really bad - like I was letting someone down!

 

What would you do?

 

Would you sell the zed you have worked hard to get sorted and buy a finished one?

 

or would you keep the failth and finish what you started?

I keep having the same thoughts mate, but i've still got her and i will get there. She may be a devil at times, but she's my devil and I know her inside out!!!

me i would keep the faith then it would be your hard work and ther is nothing better than enjoying the outcomes of an achievement!!

thing is, you know the good points and bad points about your car. there may/may not be hidden problems with the other one too which you may only find out about months down the line.

Keep the Faith, just imagine the feeling you get when you do up that last nut or screw then step back and say " she's finished!" then after a few minuets of admiring her, you say outloud... "i did that"!

 

Which you rather say to ppl when they ask you about the Z:

 

1. All my own work from start to finish

or

2.bought it like that mate.

I must admit i have been thinking of selling for a while,i put it on e-bay listed under a set of seats. jimmer,old zed and yammis other half come to look,they turned up in a zed it sounded the biz,got me thinking!! They made me a fair offer but as ive already ploughed so much cash in to the car,decided to keep it,It still needs loadsa work but hey,nothing good is easy.Although if i wouldnt have met them, I wouldnt have known about this forum or all the meetings.Look forward to meeting you all soon.Keep the one you have,build it exactly as you want it!!!!!! The hard work will pay off.(In the end)

I know what you mean matey, had to do the same with my granada concourse car :( Felt awful i never finished it to the level i wanted :(

 

It went to a better place, same as my supra
