As its pretty late to book anything major we have decided camping is the only thing we can do for a quick cheapish holiday.

 

So if anyone can recommend any sites they have been to with good facilities, lots to do close by or within a reasonable drive.

i love cornwall. best campsite ive been on down there is . st ives bay holiday park reasonably priced.its set in sand dunes in a fantastic part of the country

morecambe to cornwall is a very reasonable drive.... only about 6hrs :wack:

Cornwall mate, spot on this time of year. I`ve got a place in Lanzarotte but airfares are a fortune during summer holidays!!

i went to akebar campsite last week, quite good, they even have electric (if you have the adaptors), its near catterick leaming spa, not too far from mac ive been told

mate there are places down here that make st ives bay look dowright crap, those are the sand dunes onto gwithian beach, nice surfing with a slow beach breakif you decide to go that beach stay away from the stone beach end ( called red river end) as the rip tide is very vicious now and is unpredictable lately.Problem is now most are quite busy.Take a look at watergate bay holiday park

so much to see and do and the scenery is truly magnificent
