Hi people,

I've got a bit of a situation here. My Z was low on oil so I top her up with a fully synthetic 5W40. Its the same one that was in before and never gave me any problems up until I topped her up. Once I topped the oil, started her after a couple of minutes on idle, I started getting slight blue smoke. Then once it was fully warmed, I revved it and it gave out loads of smoke and its been like that since. Now its ok on idle, no smoke or anything but once I rev it hard it always gives out loads of smoke. Now im thinking (well hoping) that I have maybe over filled it with oil.

Any suggestions????

If you have overfilled it, drain it quick

Thanks Paul I will do but would it smoke like that if over filled? I have put in about 4 litres of it.

See my post about oil changes….

My car does the same thing but it’s not the oil. It’s not as straight forward as it seems,

I’ve done allsorts to my car and it still does it (I hope it’s not turbo problems).

I don’t think it will be the turbos because I’ve a Blitz turbo timer and Blitz dump valves.

Still looking for solutions, it needs M.O.T now and I think it will fail on this.

Paul
