Im trying to build an interior light delay/dimmer for the zed.

Just wondering if its worth me buying several sets of components incase anyone else is after one. Thinking along the lines of a 10second delay from closing the door and then the light to go off or dim.

If not, then il just get some for myself lol...

Thanks, have done, but going to try and use it with a 10 sec delay before it fades.

Got a 10sec delay relay im going to put in fromt, so door closes, 10sec at full light then it starts to fade out  (simple thing i know but all helps)

Il try and get some video of mine when its finished, just hoping i can find somewhere near the light to hide the relay etc thats required..

Just for your info, the relay for the interior light is located behind the passanger side rear panel :)

The only problem I can foresee, is if you have a smarty pants alarm, which could go off if it detects the light being on.

That could mean you need to hang about your car before you set it, or if the alarm is self arming it could go off before the light goes out.

Never really seen the point of the delay. If you're out the car, why leave the light on, is the car afraid of the dark and needs ten seconds with the light on to get to sleep? :D

Its more for when you get into the car and its dark, then the extra light helps you find stuff inside the car (ie getting the key in the ignition, finding cds out etc....)

Thanks vijay, im hoping to add my extras in out of sight so behind the passenger panel would seem ideal... We talking the panel to your left if you were sat in the rear passenger seat (2+2) or the panel down by the ecu etc?

An alarm is usually triggered by the current draw, rather than the light. Typically, interior lights turn off when you lock the door/set the alarm, so that shouldn't be an issue. This is just for when you get in and close the door - gives you a few seconds to find the ignition switch. Mine lights up when the head/sidelights are on, so it's not too much of a problem.

Mine dont work at all coz I dont know where to buy a bulb from. The import apparently is a perculiar size?

Mine gone two tried halfords but they looked at me blankly . :headvswal
