Just had a ship dock here, on my way up to see the Captain, I stopped off to have a chat with one of the cargo superintendants on the car deck, when I came across a car I'd never seen before. Generally I hate Daihatsu and this is no exception to that rule.

It's a car called the 'Trevis'. Don't think it's available over here, all the ones on this ship were all destined for mainland Europe...poor buggers.

It doesn't look too bad here, in the flesh, it's absolutely vile. They've tried to take styling queues from the Mini...and failed misserably. Even the interior has stupid litte gauge pods that try to resemble the ones in the Mini.

You know what it reminds me of. When I was out in India, they had these funny little Taxis in Bombay that looked a little bit like Wolsely Hornets gone wrong...

One thing's for sure, if it does go on sale over here, these will be the typical owners....

AND although the boot is small, there's enough room in it for plenty of this...

They did the mini styling thing on a "MIRA CLASSIC" back in 1997 - 1998

the front and rear lamps and bumpers grill etc where so similar even the interior. They then threw it into a modified Coure body and re badged it.

IT was Dire and died on its a*se :xxx:

That's bizarre. More retro looking that the nasty creation above. Not something I'd buy, but doesn't look as cheap and 'Indian Hire Car' type as the Trevis. Interior is funky.

I guess if you is some old lady only gonna use it to go to bingo and do your shopping than it's does the job. Say no more shall I hide now?

Thats exactly what I thought. exactly. :hurl: I guess they thought the mini look would sell it?

I quite like that !

You could fill it full of subs and use sound to propell it forward

because its bound to be Microsized

It reminds me of that square Nissan Cube thing, I saw loads of them in the states last year ??

Think I'd rather have the Nissan Cube. Daihatsu build quality and design is on par with Suzuki...ie terrible. Cheap and nasty plastics. Awful.
