A few friends bought an old Rover 213 when I was away in France last month...They chopped the roof off with an angel grinder and drove it round a field until the chassis gave up and snapped.

 

Have always wanted to do this since I was a little kid when I had my first 'decent' car book named 'Famous Marques of Britain'. The book was full of hilarious 70s and 80s British Leyland cars which always used to make me laugh.

 

Budget is about £50. I'm quite distraught actually, the only Lada Riva on ebay is up for about £300. Waaayyyyyyyy out of my price range and way to expensive for. There aren't even any Ladas for sale on Autotrader.

 

What more, FSO aren't even listed in autotrader as I want to kill a Polonez ontop of anything else.

 

Would quite happily kill a Favorit.

 

So, top list of cars I want to kill are as follows. Any of these will do really if I can find one.

 

Austin Maxi (becoming a classic, so the chances of £50 jobs are few and far between)

 

 

Austin Princess/Ambassador...again, almost Zero left on the roads now and have become a classic...

 

 

Austin Allegro - again, will probably be very hard to source for £50

 

 

 

Austin Maestro - A deffinate probability

 

FSO Polonez - If I can find one.

 

 

 

Morris Marina/Ital (preferably a ginger one with Webasto roof - as pictured)

 

 

Lada Riva - Again, if I can find one

 

Yugo 45A - some about, but really really getting to be a rarity now.

 

Skoda Favorit - Early ones with the 'white dog 5hit' coloured bumpers seem to be up for grabs for £free.

 

 

What ideally I'd like to do is to screw on a home made MDF bodykit, then abuse it somewhere...I have formulated various tests. Final test being the grand torching. Aim of the game is to hopefully film it and get it screened on Top Gear, although I think the later part of the plan may be somewhat over-ambitions.

I quite like Xantias, couldn't kill one. I only want to kill cars that I hate.

 

 

and there was me thinking that pearl white zeds with 99 spec rears were the only cars you didnt want to kill ;)

As xantias go - its a nice one (rare desire 2 model with 4x leccy windows, aircon, alcantara interior, rear spoiler, alloy wheels) but the fact remains its a xantia - and deserves to be smashed to bits!

 

I bought it when I moved to bromsgrove to commute to essex with. 350 miles a day for 3 months. It did it faultlessly and now I work up here I dont need it. It is taking up space in my garage that I need to make a CF tailgate (that takes a lot of space).
