I recall reading on here a while ago that some pipes are common to go pourous on these cars and cause fuel leaks.

mine stinks like hell when i start her up - where should i be looking - what is likely to be leaking?

All pipes are easily accessable, just need to remove old ones and fit new ones.

Need to release fuel pressure first (pull fuel pump fuse, undo petrol cap and turn the car over for a few seconds).

There are many small fuel feed pipes around the plenum area and under the throttle cover. I had smells a few years back. All i did was one morning before i started the engine up i put a small sprinkle of talc powder on the fuel lines and then started it up. Where the powder showed damp i then tightend the clip. Plus it smelt better :)
