Radiator question

Just wanted to know if the little hose that goes from just under the radiator cap (to the expansion tank I think) needs a clip on it or not? Mine hasn't got one on at the mo, just noticed it last night, cos I has to cut a little bit of split pipe off it and push it back on.

    Mine hasnt got a clip m8, Ive just fitted a Koyo.

     

    AFAIK the hose is under no pressure but maybe a good idea to clip it both ends, Rad and expansion tank, cos if it comes off you will slowly lose around a litre of water a day maybe more.
