Been away for the last week in Devon and Cornwall. Went for a drive one day and ended up on a beach called Duckpool(Just up the coast from Bude).
Walked along the beach and ended up paddling by some rocks. Chucked my T-shirt on a rock and put my keys and camera on top of them. The wife decided to lie down and used my t-shirt as a towel.
The sea started to come in quite quickly so we moved up the beach and stayed there about an hour. We got back to the car and I asked the wife for my keys.
We had left them on the rock, which by this time was under about 4 foot of water. Luckily I had the forsight to put my spare keys in my wifes handbag.
We went back a few hours later and the tide was right in and the keys were now under about 12 feet of water.
Went beck the next day and found the rock, stood on it and had a look around, but I could not see them and did not expect to. Looked down at the rock and in a small crack I could see a bit of metal shining. I managed to pull it out and there they were.
Went beck to the car and the remote for the alarm still worked.
How lucky was I????
