I am in the progress of modernising me standard 1991 auto n.a. 300zx.

I have fitted 19" Vortex R alloys and in the middle of getting my body kit now.

Greddy front, wings west sides, stillen rear.

Problem 1. My Z looks well high on these 19's and I am scarred of lowering it because once the kit is on it might hit some speed bumps!!!!

I have got some 35 lowering springs........would it hit???

Another problem I am having at the moment. When I accelerate hard I am getting a horrible burning smell coming from under the car, what's going on??

fitting a body kit is always a gamble if it hits the floor or speed bumps etc

lowering it 35mm wont help but will certainly help the looks of your car ;)

if you have just fitted 19s then its probably the fronts rubbing on the inner wing lining!! its quite common and no doubt loose?

what profile tyres are you running?

Mike

the burning smell could be something to do with the exhaust. that's about the only thing that runs under the car.

I am on 30 profile. I have just had a new exhaust fitted. it was making the smell before the new exhaust too.......but come to think of it I dont think it was making the smell when I had my standard wheels on.

Do I have to cut some off the inner arch?

You shouldnt have to cut it, i used to run 19's and had no issues but if your exhaust in new it does smell of burning for a while
