That was the best storm I have ever seen in the U.K

Not much rain but the thunder and lightning was spectactular, it kept going for a good couple of hours from about 11.30 to about 1.30.

Awsome

Constant lightning and right over head, some of the loudest thunder I have ever heard, no wind though like JAE

To right it was,as for not much rain, should of seen it at around 4.30 when it woke me up again for about the 4th time, weather on tv says we got it again later and tonight, cant say we dont need it,my garden starting to look like the Grand Canyon, and getting fed up with waterin me plants daily.

Well mate if the temps stay like this we should get a lot more storms like that.

Don't you just love it.

I was sitting up looking out the bedroom window for about 2hrs, i love electrical storms

Yep, have to say the Storm was Electrifying. Was watching it as we drove back from the cinema having seen Pirates of the Caribbean. Everytime a bolt of lightening struck we didn't need the head lights amazing display.

The thunder really shook the house here last night. It was pretty cool.

I fear it's a knock on effect of climate change - we'll see more and more extreme weather events in the years ahead.

True but they're getting more extreme weather too. Probably!

Just gone nuts here again - thunder, lightning etc again.

lol - ditto!

Glad we didnt get any storms. Living in a little village in the country means power cuts every time we have a storm!!! And we still got the really old overhead lines so have to wait for bloke to come climb the pole and fix it!!!!! Takes hours sometimes!!!

My street turned into a river, loads of rain here!!!

Lightining was amazing though! Just the damage isnt good that it does!

We've not had rain here for about 4 weeks. Not even a hint of a storm. Would like one.

HELP I no longer have a road just a river outside my house lucky for me my targa's don't leak. The dogs crossing his legs poor thing, needs to go out but won't brave the down pour.

I was in florida last july an caught the tailend of the hurricane cant remember the name only last a day but **** me never seen rain, thunder an lightening like it

of course had to sit an watch it for a while

Your right, my mate in Cairns (well just outside realy) lost his entire crop of paw paw trees in April this year, but the town nearby lost everthing including whole buildings and roads.

One of the guys at work slept through it too, I don't know how it was louder that a G'n'R concert on steroids.
