looking into getting a bike, trying to get fit :)

What sort of things should I be looking for - price is a biggie - must be cheap at the moment.

Im 6ft so would I go for a 21" frame?

Full suspension? Any makes worth going for/avoiding?

Would like something fairly light but I guess cost goes up.

Been looking on fleabay at around the £60-£80 mark at moment - like I said - Cheap :)

I've just made the same decision, in order to get rid of the beer belly. I've gone for a hardtail mountain bike so I can use it both off road and on road. Seemed to be the best compromise between comfort and function. I bought a Specialized Rockhopper on the advice of my brother (mountain biking nut), it cost me £550 but it seems well worth it.

I guess it depends on where you plan on riding your bike as to what you'd be looking for though.

Cheers fella, dont wanna spend much because I bought one a few years ago and used it once - then sold it for a huge loss, now regretting it coz of the nice weather.

So Ill probably buy a cheapie use it a few times and may even give up again :)

Good luck with this mate. I started doing a lot of cycling about 3 months ago and at first it was pretty hard to find the will power to carry on lol. But it's well worth it. I've noticed the difference in my fitness levels, and I feel a lot better in general! Here's a quick pic of my bike, which I bought as a bare frame and added all the other components myself.
