Hi all one of my z`s has been stood for a while only about 2 month have started her up now and again. went to move her abit but she is not letting me select any positions she is an auto i have noticed that when i press the brake you normally get a click but i`m not getting this any help please.

not sure why your not getting the clik, but on the gear shift at the front there is a small lever, try to push that down and then move the auto shift. might just free something. this is there so you can move the lever when the engine is not turned on

Yeh just done that i can select it and the gear shift moved but still when press brake get no click. i had the dash bits out so maybe not connected something back under the gear lever or something will have to look tomm is thier any fuses for the brake gear release or somrthing.

I cant remember all the details but its connected to a switch by the ignition barrel, do a search and I am sure it will turn up loads of info.

don't know about fuses. cant even go to check anything on mine for you either as it's in the garage after ripping the drive plate. seem to remember when i took my gear lever area apart there was a small connector in that area which had to be disconnected so the lever can be removed.
