Getting the 300 ready with the last few fiddly bits and found the stereo and the Turbo Timer are not working. So OK I think its a fuse NP. yeah OK it might be but its so fookin hot out there it is almost impossible to sit in the car static. Not that important so it can wait until thursday....Lovely though I aint complaining but if you can ever say "PHEW! Its too hot" this is it.

It fookin' is here as some ball bag has just had this amazing idea and lit a bonfire....on the hottest day of the year. So what does everyone have to do in order for them to stop their houses smelling like a incineration plant? Close their windows.....when it's as hot as the surface of Venus! Not to mention that everything is tinder dry and could go up like touch paper.

I do love the hot weather too. Unfortunately, the UK just isn't geared for it, so becomes uncomfortable at times.

 

I don't burn either, so I just sit out in it all day long. :D

Its been hot over here for 2 weeks now and getting hotter. The heat is different though, not soooooooooo sticky like uk. Comin back for JAE though!!

My problem seems to be that if I sit out in the sun it fooks me up for going to work that night. I am OK if I can just relax a "chillout" for the evening but after driving for 2 - 3 hours I start to feel ill. Therefore I give the sun a miss and miss out... :(

Im a train driver been driving trains with no air con in the cabs its unbearable well over 40 deg and the tight b*****ds at 'ONE' Railway wont spend any money to give us a bottle of water, the trains with air con are either sittin in the yard coz they dont want them to go over their miles for inspection or on loan to another part of our company as the drivers over there threatend to wear shorts, good excuse to strike i think lol at least it makes a change from leaves on the line lol But i do love the sun when aint gotta work in it

Well you know what the railway's like since privatisation just out to make a profit for themselves no reguards for passangers or staff. Its a certain national coach company that runs us now.

 

Im with ASLEF as most drivers are but they seem more involved with in-fighting than their members, our reps arnt really interested only seem to want an easy life and the time off from driving, a lot of drivers went over to the RMT but as this is such a small amount it dosnt carry any weight so basically we have to put up with it, they need more millitancy.

 

You never fancied the driving then? Im out of liverpool street do you get over this side?
