Exactly!!! 1350 rwhp 300ZX Engine. Thats about 1620 PS right?

I couldnt believe it at first but now i've heard it from a reliable source.

This monster is builded by a mechanic here in Limassol (Cyprus)

This is engine is fitted on a FORD Escord 4-wheel drive and did 9.2 sec at 1/4 mile at last years drag racing. That's when it has twin T-66 turbos.

Here is the car racing before T-72 upgrade

Now is upgraded with twin T-72 and 150 shot of NOS and at the dyno it did 1350 at the wheels.

Is really amazing what VG30 can do. If we had more space to fit larger turbos then making 1000+ hp wouldnt be a problem.

There is a system that can switch between 4-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. Similar to Skyline. But at the dyno it was rear wheel drive.

But i am telling you that the car is insane. They have make so many runs and so many testing and still runs great.

Also the intercoolers are water cooled and since the car is for drag racing only i dont think that they should have cooling issues.

It only runs 9-8sec each time :) And now probably 7sec.

madness!!

any idea what work with the crank and rod bearing seats were done on that?

One thing ive always thought regarding the VG is that the journals the rods sit on are far too slim, RB and 2JZ have much wider bearing seats, and probably the reason we see so many "my bottom end is knocking!" posts on here :(

I know nissan were going for a compact engine, but if only there was another inch in length, could have put another 0.125inch on width on the seats, distribute that pressure a bit better....wouldnt see half the rod bearing issues then :(

Paul C is right though! the intercoolers would have been more efficient if they were located in another possition other than inbetween the radiator and engine. :)

They are chargecoolers not intercoolers and can go pretty much where ya like lol !!! :)

WOW that is one serious drag car! Just shows what the VG engine is capable of! And Im sure a skillfull engineer could rework that engine to fit a zed.

Agreed, although you'd probably have to completely rearrange a few key components to make it all fit... like the front wheels or something. A great piece of work though. I'd love 1350 rwhp in my zed. :)
