just trying to fit my turbo timer and it says i need to connect the brown wire from the turbo timer to the hand brake switch. As Bigmo says it's only activated when the handbrake's on, but where is the handbrake switch?

IIRC, it's by actually on the handbrake mechanism. Remove the leather gaitor and syou should see it.

ok, found a couple of threads on this and nothing really says where the handbrake switch is!

 

also, if it is under the centre bit, i've tried getting it out but it's bloody difficult!

it seems as if there are more screws under the storage bit where your elbow might rest when driving, but how the hell do you get to them?

oh, can't see anything! taken the leather bit off, had a look down there, but nothing!

just out of interest, how do you remove the whole storage box middle bit?

Mine came out with all the other panels - so I'm not sure on how to remove that one on its own - I'm sure doing a search will help
