Washed and waxed the car yesterday. Got up this morning and it is covered in pine needles. The chap next door has a bl@@dy pine tree thingy. He loves it and it is his pride and joy.

What can I do to kill it without him finding out it was me?

Any ideas??

Thanks guys,

I am ready for a night time attack. I have 200 copper nails, a big hammer, a drill, napalm, weed killer, a big saw and a horses head to put on the guys front door.

:) :)

Cut a good thick deep line around the entire circumference of the tree, ensure you go through the bark. I was told this prevents water and nutrients travelling up and hence should die?

I suggest an 'eye for an eye' approach, if your car gets covered in needles, simply cover his tree in soapy water, then wash it, then wax it, then use a rotary buffer on it.

Roundup Pro

Not to be confused with Roundup (same parent company, very different product)

Oddly lots of online sites say for sale to professional users only, but I buy it from my local tractor shop with no problems. Drill a 6-10mm hole about 20mm deep, squirt in some roundup pro, tree starts to die.

If you can’t find it locally then it’s on eBay

Its not as quick as an Axe mind :x:

Hmmm, just wondering how the forum would be reacting if this was a "My neighbour has delibrately killed my tree" Thread?

Go have a word with the guy and see if between you something can be sorted?

take your laptop out, open the forum

and let it read some of the posts on here, should work wonders

makes loads of people go awol, so a tree shouldn't be a problem:nelson:

I had a 'problem' tree at home a while ago. I use tree surgeons and landscapers at work so I asked them. They all said that the copper nails trick was an old wives tale......sorry.

What they did suggest as a good way of killing a tree, is to cut off a 4" strip of bark all the way around the tree, like a belt. Apparently bugs/disease gets in and it's all over for the tree.
