not sure if its an urban myth or not but i remember hearing about a philosophy degree final paper where one of the essay questions was "is this a question? discuss" some people wrote pages and pages of philosophical babble, one guy just put "if this is an answer" and got a first!

funny i was laughing at the X as well.

He should be laughing - all the way to Maccy Ds and his 'trainee' badge.

 

That said I was never one for all that book learning and exams and I did OK (well, ok-ish, well, not terribly badly).

A good one I remember from some years ago was the following answer in a history paper:

 

Christopher Columbus circumcised the world with a 100ft Clipper.

 

Class.
