Where can i get a proper one from i believe i need one that's longer from the underneath not shorter from the top????

Yeah i do have one and it does make a reasonable difference.

It is something you will be able to fit your self.

But be aware that on mine it brang out the 4th gear crunch problem, it hasn't caused the problem just make it more noticable.

Also when fitting it don't do a me and do the bottom bolt too tight otherwise it will be a 2 handed shift job hehe. What i did was get a nut with a plastic end in so it stops it from coming loose then i unden it a little.

Good tip about the bottom bolt!

Cheers Jaffa

Yeah but i had to find out the hard way, after it was too tight and i undun abit, after a few weeks of driving i had no gears  The nut had come off being too loose so went out and bought a magic one with the thread inside which stops in from coming undun

Should be a Nyloc nut there I would have thought.

Mine wasn't but could of been changed before, but that's what i bought to replace the drunk one that fell off.

Mine was from 800bhp too. very well made part, very good value.

The main thing is the shifter bushes, when i took mine appart i only had half of one lefi on one side! Just replacing these makes a big difference but fitting the shorter shifter as well makes the box feel more racey.

I too did the bottom bolt up too tight, loosened it a bit. The bolt on mine has a built in washer so should be ok!

Mine was from the 800bhp dude too (and he's a nice guy - helives near me so I picked it up from him).

Definitely recommended :)
