alright guys,

im getting a bit disillusioned with my zeds looks, dont get me wrong i love it to bits but i look at it and somethings missing that could turn it from a nice looking zed into something realy quite impressive if you know what i mean(all my own opinion of course) i like the colour, but only seems to look good when its directly in full sun.

im looking for the street racer look, not quite fast and furious but on those lines. but i dont think i want graphics and i dont want neons, i cant afford another respray or bodykit and to be honest i dont think i want one. and defo no big spoilers.

so im thinking carbon fibre bonnet?, bigger or sharper lookin wheels?, lowering it?

anyother suggestions!

I've just been looking at the pictures in your rides (which look better than your sig by the way IMO). I reckon you're getting a bit schizophrenic with what you want and what you have. Your zed looks very classy and expensive sports car like, I think making it look more 'street racer' will make it look cheap. Its got immaculate looking paint work, a tasty interior and a load of ICE. Street racer look is stripped out and tatty looking likes its been drifted round Japanese mountains. F&F isn't street racer its Max power IMO. Stick with the look you have, maybe some clear side lights, it looks a great zed.

thankyou, and wise words there! and to be honest its amazing what a good wash and polish can do, to bring you round to loving your ride again, but i defo think it needs either bigger wheels or lowering......

........and maybe the front end modernising in some way.

Leg nose is probobly right, maybe im just getting too used to its looks, if you know what i mean.

youve had plenty of responses so here's my effort:

smoked black side repeaters

gunmetal grey meshing

tinted windows

low/mid-level spoiler (similar to mine)

very subtle graphics (maybe a manufacturer logo at bottom of door or rear quarter window)

deffo new alloys - 18's will do, i think the rims youve got on are nice but too 'classy' to be street racer stylee

vented bonnet/wings

i think im just gonna try and get some new wheels, sort the ride hieght an maybe tart the front end up(somehow).

and if i get miffed again give her a good old wash and polish with all the trimmings.

dont change it si, take it from a mate who is not allowed to tell lies, its a reyt zed.

while i respect your opinion, i must say that my present wheels look fair burried within the deep cavern that is my zeds arches. i do believe a wider wheel will suffice.

or maybe some wheel spacers might do the trick

Sounds like a good idea, nothing like some wide dishes to make the beast look sexy! Maybe you could fit uprated suspension when you lower it, and stillen anti-roll bars. They'll make a massive difference to the handling. I'm up for doing that to mine at the moment.

FWIW I think it looks great. I don't think you should get a carbon fibre bonnet as carbon fibre always looks cheap and nasty IMO (although in fact extremely expensive). Expensive things should look it, they shouldn't look cheap and tatty, and since you're doing this for the look of the thing I think you should avoid it.

The only thing I might change about your car is to add a decent spoiler to it, maybe the Monza or something, at least something where the slope of the spoiler matches the slope on the bottom of your rear bumper.

Lowering it might do the trick as well, but bear in mind you're going to have to worry about speed bumps a lot. You may not even be able to make it over some of them.

Anyway, what do I know? Hope you get it sorted.

Cheers,

Bart
