In my opinion the way forward is for everyone to try and be tolerant and accepting of each other. We should try and lead by example. Integrate with smiles on our faces. I can't see anything else working to be honest. Division, anger and hatred aren't going to smooth things out.

 

Has anyone stopped and looked logically and asked WHY?

People have fought for thousands of years because we are very different, some races are more advanced than others no matter what you believe so the way things are at the moment with it being slightly fashionable to be a politically correct do gooder actually causes more problems than it solves, if you didnt try and force very different people to mix then there would not be nearly as many problems.

I dont give a damn if people choose to dance around a totem pole with shrunken heads on sticks, I really dont have anything against them just dont tell me I have to integrate with it!

Please - try and think of a war not started by religion...

 

What, like World War II you mean? (Although it could possibly be argued that Hitler's view of a "new world order", for want of a better phrase, could be regarded as religious in some sense.) Or how about WWI? *Definitely* nothing to do with religion there. Very political in fact. Or the Falklands? Not even slightly religious. Hey, what about the first Gulf War? Yet again, not religious. Korea? Political reasons. Vietnam? Ditto.

 

That's six, not one. And I could go on.

 

I'm sorry, but your assertion is rubbish, and it always will be. People can find plenty of reasons for killing eachother without needing to add religion into the equation, although clearly religion is yet another thing that people can and have fought over. And in any case, a religious justification can be used in situations where then end is in fact political or economic, as can many other justifications. Some would argue that Gulf War II falls into this category, but that's not a can of worms I really want to open here.

my friends son wanted abit of help finding a job when he left school, hes a good lad and his father has worked and paid taxes all his life... he wanted help from the social for travelling expenses to and from an interview out of town, he was refused on the grounds of "you arent qualified enough and you wont get the job, therefore its a waste of taxpayers money"...

 

on the next table there was a young lad about the same age, of eastern european origin, dressed in the best designer gear smelling like an aftershave factory, telling them he needed a car and more grants... obviously in the little english he knew... sure enough he got what he wanted after his mates, all suitably dressed and au fe with our immigration and social services policies, TOLD the lass behind the desk that according to this that and the other legislation their mate was ENTITLED to this...

 

last time i was told a car to the value of 1500 is available for refugees, whats available to YOURS and MY kids????

 

to me this is NOT fair, and thats my point, whats good for one should be good for another, but it isnt, and i can tell you this now, this country will very soon be politically torn into little pieces by the biggots and nut cases if the major parties dont realise the distain of the majority of people in this country, people who are getting progressively disillusioned with what they see going on around them, just like me...

I am generally a little less argumentative.

 

Obviously we cannot ban all religion, and yes there have been SOME wars the were not religously motivated.

B4 i start - let me make it clear i am not racist - i have friends from all walks of life

 

my life back home (in zimbabwe) as a white girl was rather tough... you get people from other races who are really cool, and you can be mates with them, and you get the others that are really scum. The kind that threatened to kill my dad and mom and rape me - the kind that took our farm away from our family with no conpensation, the kind that murdered our next door neighbour in front of my dad with an axe, and they walk free... the kind who terrorised our family day in, day out until we gave them what they wanted, be it money, cattle, drink, whatever. THE KIND THAT PUSHED ME OUT OF MY COUNTRY WHERE I WAS BORN because they hate white people. and to top it off.. they call us whites, racists!

 

Anyway, i come to England for my safety, and what do i see here... BLACK ZIMBABWEANS all over the bladdy place! Why dont they stay there.. why kick us out, and then follow us... it does my head in. I don't think we actually have a problem with people from other countries coming to this country, as long as they want to be British that is talking our language and culture, paying taxes, abiding by our laws and generally contributing to Britain and her economy.

 

I do however take offence like the majority of Britain when they come here and try and change our way of lives and don't take our Laws, culture and language, and do not contribute to our economy, we don't need them here our ancestors fought hard to keep our identity only for our shitty government who listen to do gooders to give it away.

 

Being British is deeper than the colour of our skins we have been a half breed nation for hundreds of years. Calling someone racist is very nasty and abusive the British people are NOT racist it's the people that don't want to integrate and keep to their own communities are.
