Doh, you'll just have to sweet talk her

My hubbie just left me nice message saying he's put moeny into my account so I can go mad on my car petrol bill lucky me more petrol to burn agaist Audi TT drivers, and those dreadful BMW sales reps. :)

This is fuel related. I have switched to Tesco RON 99 and my car uses less fuel and its cheaper than Optimax and I think the car performs better. Anyone have similar experiences.

It defentantly works for our REX so I'm about to try it in my Zed

How much is optimax these days? (I`ve been overseas for 3 months)

Around here its anywhere from £1.00 to £1.04 a litre :(

Yep, Optimax is about the same here. TBH though I'm not convinced about the benefits of Tesco RON 99 versus Optimax. I think my car works better with the latter, although admittedly that could be down to higher turnover at the garage meaning the fuel is in better condition when I fill up than the Tesco stuff, at least based on what I read in one of the threads on here a week or two back.

optimax around here is 98.9p i really should use tesco's more often. oh btw my misses dont care how much fuel the car uses as long as i pay for it hehe..

Is that from Tesco in Purley Konrad? I've not tried it yet...

I used Tesco 99Ron on sunday and some other super unleaded shit on Friday because thats all i could get. i have to say performance was not really an issue it used the same amount on both runs with the roofs off but on the final run with the roof on for the last 100 miles on tesco 99 ron it used the same amount ? i find it dificult to tell the difference all told. End result was loads of smiles per miles but still in a shed load of trouble with little legs wife !

spending to much on fuel is a sore subject in my house at the moment whatever grade it is ! :( :duffer:

im using about 100 quid per week on the work run (daily driver twin turbo) and even more when i go out at weekends etc. but every miles well worth it in my eyes. just used my 1st tank of tesco 99 and cant feel any difference from optimax part from price. game on.
