Hi all,just picked up my first zed since my old 240 and was having a little play along the M23 when I reached about 80mph I could here a faint audible alarm from somewhere inside.ne ideas?

Mines a Jap imort and when I get to 110 there is an alarm that goes off, a very faint bong. This is because japanese cars are restricted to 110 whilst in Japan and then de-restricted on import, mines been done but I just need to do something with the wiring to stop it going off even though you can barely hear it. It could be this but it seems strange that it comes on at 80, are you sure you weren't going faster??

behind the speedo cluster is a black box with a green wire coming out of it just disconnect the wire at its join , this can be done with just the top cowl off

Mine is an import and chimes at 70 through to about 85, I've not heard it above 85mph, this could be because it actually stops, the car is too noisy to hear it or that I have never been over 85 because it's illegal and doing so would make me a very, very bad person, you decide ;-)
