Desperately trying to find insurance for my 1989 import- reasonable from First Alternative @ 305 until find it is an import- no dice.

 

Carole Nash- no imports

 

Anyone found one - & reasonable?

Many Thanks but even Norton say they can no longer handle imports!!!

 

This is now desperate- surely someone knows someone who still handles imports?

How strange

Insured mine with them on the 30th of June and its an import

Did you talk to some one or did you use the website?

 

Houghtons also quoted me a very good price but the could not take payment over the phone so it takes a while to set up using post

I am finding it really difficult to get classic insurance as I am only 23.

The problem seems to be that it is an import- they immediately said they are nolonger doing them.

 

This car is 1989, so they immediately know that is an import.

 

All the insurers I have spoken with during the last 6 hours!!!! :headvswal have said that if someone insures an import with them, but does not state it is an import, that if there is a claim the loss adjusters would use that as a reason to reject the claim and effectively the car would not be covered!
