Does anyone know the exact name of a spray paint I can use to spray the CD/Vents surround - I brought one from Halfords, plasticote i think it was and I sprayed it, let it dry overnight, picked it up in the morning and the silver was just wiping off...

i just use there standard aluminum spray and clear lacquer , came out really nice and has lasted over a year now, have a look in my rides

You will need to get the surface properly clean before spraying though.

clean surface, , degrease, key the surface, degrease primer, paint, laquer. there is a plasticote primer and laquer, the plastic will need that done to it for the plastikote to stick, if you use pectra paint, be careful, that stuff eats into the plastic and forms a second skin, you will need to clean and key the surface no matter what you use.

and make sure when you spray it, it is warm, it could be the problem with the first attempt?
