When I first got my car there were quit a bit of work to do on it, there still is. But one of the main problems were the real sills rusting like hell, later finding out becuase of the T-Top drain pipe has come lose.

Here are some pics of how we repaired it last year. The other side needs doing and I will get all the details of the whole job.

 

Pic 1: The sills that a friend of my dad made for me. Fantastic bit of whelding, made from 16 gauge steel.

Pic 3: My dad cutting away the frame to reach the subframe which ended up being a lot worse than the frame was. Aint my dad cool. biggrin.gif

That took a day and the day after we put the made sills on, filled it, sanded it down and painted it. We didnt get pictures of that but I will when we do the other side.

The new sill holds the weight of the car. Before we did it I jacked up the car from there and it just collapsed. Now it doesent even move.
