well just about finished the interior , being the perfectionist i am it took 3 times to trim this section perfectly, no creases, stretches or bubbles. i have to say this was the hardest bit to trim on the car!! you have to be so careful where you start as if you stick the trim to the main flat section it will totally mess the whole piece up. i found it best to start on the side and then fold and pull over the trim.

finally I'm happy!!

i have to say i am really enjoying doing this trim myself, its so satisfying when after its all dried you clean it up and polish it with some leather cream.. mmmm

even had time to take bonnet off and get that cleaned up ready for under paint.

 Well done

Just keep with it and take your time it's going to look truely great

Good job there!, I must admit a made a dogs breakfast of mine but then again I'm a rough arsed git!

i did start in leather but, as my steamer died on me and i want to use the hide for the dash board so i switched to trimmers auto vinyl, its not cheap by any means but its fookin wide!!!! i got a guy down here who gets it in for me.

unlike normal vinyl that tends to rip when a pull is made near a cut this has a cross web on the back so it doesnt travel. you can stretch it with no fear of it loosing its look or feel, folds on itself easily also.

its very durable and will last years when applied, you are advised to use a leather cleaner on it and then a leather polish, dont use household polish.

i may even start doing this on the side i enjoyed it so much!!

also forgot to add, the section on the 3rd pic to the right is the back rest panel hehind my seat, this was stapled to the back board below it, i removed them both and will now re-staple it together using a rapesco stapler, will post pics of this later!!

if you want some trimmers stuff let me know its cheaper than real leather , looks the same and will allow you to work it easier. i would advise this as using leather isnt that easy, i manged to work it ok as i had a steamer to help me with the process but you will also need the special glue from woollies auto trimming, and you need to be confident when using it, if you **** it up its a ba5tard to remove.

i did meant to do a photo section on this but what with the baby due its thrown me about a bit.

forgot to add, if you want to use leather or vinyl then these guys have some excellent products for cleaning the seats and other sections.

That's next on the list of jobs i want to do to my interiors temporarily till i make my cerbera style dashboard.

I'd like to know as well and does it come a good range of colours too?

thats professional auto trimmers vinyl not a standard type, its £13.95 a meter and its almost 2 meters wide, they do a min cut of 1 meter. as for colours , i would have to ask, but they did have a swatch book i will take a look.

Looking good mate  - all my panels are out and I've just started removing the tweed and old glue prior to them being re-trimmed. :)
